Liesbet Braeckman

Liesbet Braeckman (1974, Antwerp) creates textile wall objects from leftover materials from the interior and fashion industries. She intertwines different layers of fabric using a technique known as textile manipulation. That results in tactile artworks with a lot of texture and volume, which also provides an acoustic benefit.

Liesbet often works with circular or organic shapes, but custom designs are also possible. All works are created in her studio in ‘s Gravenwezel close to Antwerp.
